Last weekend, my good friend Daniel turned 21. This crazy guy has been counting down since his 20th. I was really debating on what to get him. Then, it just came to me but I needed some help to accomplish it. I wanted to make a giant iPhone with applications and all. Each “application” was going to be a gift card to one of his favorite places.
It ended up being awesome, he loved it, and it turned out really nice. Here is how it went down…
1. Buy a black foam-poster board from your local craft store.
2. Outline the details that makes an iPhone an iPhone. I used pencil and went over it with a silver sharpie.
3. Now it’s time for the apps. I bought card stock at Joann, 5 for a dollar. You can’t get better than that.
After all of that, this came about.
It was surprisingly easy to make. It was a group gift made possible by a few of us. He loved it, which was very exciting.
This was my favorite “app”.
It isn’t my favorite just because it just happens to be a Starbucks gift card. The background is coffee beans! I was so excited!
And a surprise under each one…
Hope your weekend is swell!
