Way to go Cali!

I am so happy to say that proposition 8 was declraed unconstitutional in the state of California today courtesy of Judge Vaughn R. Walker. It’s about damn time! Let me qoute Matthew Ross on this one, “OMG! If EVER there was a time for a spontaneous musical number! Gather, gays & allies, & meet me in the streets!”. Next, let it be Florida!

For the record, I am fully supportive of gay marriage, albeit it’s not Biblical. If same-sex couples aren’t given the right to marry, they aren’t given the same rights because marriage comes with plenty of them. I am fully supportive of same-sex marriage and Jesus is my savior, yes people, it is possible.

Snuggie-fest!

As you may all ready know, I just got back from a two month adventure working at a youth camp in the middle of BFE. It was a fabulous time. While at camp, I met some great people who I had something in common with…we are all proud snuggie-owners. Seriously, I don’t care how dorky it is, snuggies are the best.

At camp, every Friday was water day and our post-dinner activity was movie night in the gym. We’d all bring pillows and blankets and some would wear pajama pants. All I needed was my snuggie! Here are a few photos we got, the snuggie phenomenon is progressively moving forward.

I hope your summer was as fantastic as mine! Camp was a great experience, albeit I probably won’t return next year.

Dirty Sexy Politics and Marijuana

Something I was thinking about today, does God really hate it when we smoke pot? In Genesis, it says “all seed-bearing plants I give to you”. Marijuana plants bear seeds so even though it’s illegal, He did give it to us. The word of God trumps the word of man, so therefore, pass me that joint. I’m no stoner, but I try to find justifications for smoking because if it was legal, I’d do it in a heartbeat.

Another thing that is on my mind today…..Dirty Sexy Politics, Meghan McCain’s first book comes out on the 31st! I am really excited. She is fantastic. I read her posts on the Daily Beast every week and they keep getting better.

This was a pretty impromptu post with absolutely no point, but have a good day anyway!

I passed!

I am quite ecstatic at the moment because I just got my report card and…..I passed! I have to say, I slacked quite a bit this year. Actually, a lot. I didn’t study at all, didn’t pass 80% of my tests, but somehow I ended with four C’s and two D’s. I know my father isn’t happy about this but I am truly content! I am going to try a lot harder this year. I didn’t even study for my finals at all, I am shocked. Junior year here I come!

Be yourself, everybody else is taken

Tomorrow I’m getting my hair done. I am long overdue for a cut & color so I am most definitely excited. Planet smoothie and a day at the salon sounds oh so good right now.

This post is quite impromptu. I was just feeling the need to write something. I must say, I am pretty distant from God right now. Ever since I left for camp, my moral compass flew out the window. I’ve been feeling pretty down and out of it. I guess you could say I’m in a funk. I’ve been stressing about the start of the school year, and being so close to the end of high school. I know I’m only halfway there, but I know it will go by fast.

Many things have been on my mind. I still have very bitter feelings toward some people who I spend a lot of time with. Issues from last year are coming up again in my head and I sit and ponder over how ridiculous things are. Lately I feel weird. I better get out of this soon or I might go crazy.

It has been a while…

To any of you readers out there (I know you’re out there), camp is great. I’ve had loads of fun and met many new friends. I never expected camp to be so much like high school in regards to drama and gossip, it’s quite ridiculous.

First week I had no kids, so I chilled with cabin 5. I loved these girls.

All in all, camp has been great. I’m home for a week to recover after my nasty spill down the hill at archery. I may have resprained my ankle, whoops.
